Straight answers before you start your trial.

How does the free trial work?
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial with every feature, including cloud optimization and Autopilot. A card is required at checkout, but nothing is charged during the trial. Cancel before day 8 and you pay nothing; otherwise your first year starts automatically.
What’s the difference between the plans?
Only the number of sites and the support level. Solo covers 1 site, Studio up to 50 sites and Agency unlimited sites. Every plan has every feature — there are no locked tiers. Studio and Agency include priority email support.
Can I use it on client sites?
Yes. Studio covers up to 50 sites and Agency has no site limit, so both are made for client work. Activate your license key on each site, and move a seat to another site any time by deactivating the old one from your account.
Do you offer refunds?
We don’t offer refunds once a trial has turned into a paid year. That’s exactly why every plan starts with a full 7-day trial: test everything on your real site first, and cancel before it ends if it isn’t right for you. Billing question? What happens if my license expires?
Nothing breaks. Page caching and local optimizations keep working. Cloud optimization, Autopilot, scans, plugin updates and support pause until you renew — and pick up again as soon as you do.
Does my plan renew automatically?
Yes, once a year, so updates and cloud features continue without a gap. You can cancel the renewal any time from your account or the Freemius customer portal, and you keep everything until the end of the year you paid for.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. In your account, open Licenses and choose Upgrade: Freemius checkout opens for your existing license and shows the exact price before you pay. Your license key and settings stay the same.
How do I pay, and is it secure?
Checkout runs on Freemius, the reseller for Speed of Light, with cards and PayPal. Your card details go to Freemius, never to our servers, and your invoices are available in the Freemius customer portal.
What does Speed of Light need to run?
WordPress 6.0 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer. It’s tested up to WordPress 7.1 and works with any host.
